Breakfast Room Attendant

Rate of pay: $10.10/hour

Work location: Iowa Memorial Union

Basic job function

Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the Iowa House Hotel breakfast room.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned area
  • Receive items delivered for the breakfast room
  • Close and prepare the breakfast room
  • Stock breakfast room items
  • Identify items to be ordered
  • Report or request repair of maintenance issues
  • Handle guest complaints, questions, or needs
  • Train new staff
  • Maintain close communication with Housekeeping Supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • UI registered student.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and judgment.
  • Must be available days and weekends. Ability to work independently.
  • May require heavy lifting (50 lbs.)
  • Ability to become Serve Safe Alcohol Service certified.

  • IMU Student Orientation
  • Emergency Response Training
