Web/Catalog Assistant - Hawk Shop

Rate of pay: $10.10/hour

Work location: Iowa Hawk Shop - Iowa Memorial Union

Basic job function

Responsible for a variety of tasks related to picking, processing, packaging, and shipping of customer orders that are received on the web. Provide retail assistance to Iowa Hawk Shop main Store.


  • Verify incoming merchandise for accuracy.
  • Prepare merchandise for sale.
  • Pick customer orders.
  • Process customer orders.
  • Package outgoing shipments.
  • Ship packages using freight carrier station.
  • Help maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Help stock sales floor.
  • Assist with maintaining work area in clean and orderly manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide customer service and process credit card transactions through web fulfillment portal..


  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Comfortable in using computer.
  • Comfort in climbing ladders.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to withstand varied temperatures.
  • Cash handling & customer service experience preferred.
