As a student videographer, you will create communication and marketing/promotional video pieces for student organizations and departments within the Division of Student Life and across campus. You will work directly with clients, marketers and graphic designers to create high quality video pieces on many different platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shoot videos of people, places, events, and various other subjects as assigned.
• Independently schedule the assigned work ensuring that videos are filmed and edited within the defined criteria and by established deadlines.
• Edit video projects per project specifications.
• Organize and manage all marketing and design video projects, including sorting and tagging videos.
• Care for and maintain equipment.

Qualifications

• Electronic portfolio including a minimum of 10 photos; via e-mail, attachment or web site link.
• Experience and knowledge of photographic concepts such as light, composition & exposure.
• Proficient with Adobe Photo-shop.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, self-motivated & organized.
• Desirable: with studio lighting and/or flash photography, exp. manipulating digital photos & retouching photos in Photo-shop, exp. using an online photo gallery and working knowledge of digital photography & previous professional work in photography is desirable.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.
