Produce social media content for the Division of Student Life. Act as the online voice for the DSL. Work includes writing, acting, photography, videography, scheduling, coordinating, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Create video-based social media content for the Division of Student Life.
• Act as a social media video host for the Division of Student Life channels.
• Write scripts and record videos for social media platforms such as Instagram.
• Plan and analyze social media efforts for assigned channels.
• Manage social media channels, including comments, replies, and direct messages.
• Find creative ways to engage the current student audience through polls, direct questions, and content. Communicate about events, opportunities, resources available, best practices, well-being, and other issues.

Qualifications

• Must have demonstrated ability to produce social media content.
• Must be able to make a one-year commitment (pay will increase to $13.00/hour after one year anniversary)
• Understanding of the university structure and student activities is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and management.
• Ability to work under a deadline in a fast-pace environment.
• Well organized, willing to learn, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to provide writing sample from online medium; web, blog, newspaper.

• IMU Emergency Response Staff (depending on physical location)
• Student Life Communications Orientation
