Summer Custodian

Rate of pay: $13.04/hour

Work location: Currier Residence Hall

Although your job in the Division of Student Life may not be directly related to your future profession, the skills you learn here will help you in your chosen career path and give you valuable work experience to strengthen your resume.

Basic job function

Assist in cleaning student rooms and public areas, unloading trucks, moving furniture and other miscellaneous custodial work in the residence halls.

Responsibilities

  • Clean student rooms, apartments, public spaces, stairways and offices
  • Trash removal
  • Move furniture
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Other designated tasks

Qualifications

  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Must be enrolled as a college student for Fall 2019 semester and provide documentation of registration.
  • Must be able to perform heavy physical labor and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb a ladder up to 12 feet.
  • Must be able to work in heat, humidity, and dust.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals.
  • Good attendance and reliability.
