Womxn of Colour Network Program Assistant

Rate of pay: $12.00/hour

Work location: Women' Resource & Action Center

Basic job function

The Womxn of Colour Network Program Assistant will assist the Women’s Resource and Action Center (WRAC) program coordinator in the coordination and implementation of Womxn of Colour Network (WOCN) programming. This will include, but may not be limited to, outreach communication initiatives, social media management, marketing/promotion, and organizing data collection.


  • Assist with the process of engaging with diversity, equity and inclusion and building community while fostering an empowering sense of belonging for students, faculty and staff of womxn of colour
  • Logistics before, during and after each WOCN event
  • Initiate and monitor social media promotion and analytics prior to events
  • Develop and carry out outreach efforts such as tabling and attendance at student organization programs/events
  • Collect and organize evaluations and program data
  • Communicate effectively with WRAC program coordinator and staff
  • Meet regularly with program coordinator for supervision meetings
  • Complete WRAC Volunteer training
  • Other tasks and/or projects as assigned


  • Prior attendance and participation in WOCN events
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple duties
  • Demonstrated proficiency in social media management and monitoring tools
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a job or educational setting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency using basic office equipment and computer operations (e.g., Microsoft Office and/or MAC platforms)

Training requirements

  • Complete WRAC Volunteer training
