Under the direct mentorship and guidance of a full-time communications professional, you will assist in the development and implementation of marketing and communications campaigns for various departments in the Division of Student Life. You will have the opportunity to brainstorm creative ideas, assist with project timelines, and help deliver a quality, on-time product. After completion, you apply analytical skills to measure campaign success.

Responsibilities

• Provide input to marketing and communications plans for partners under direction of the manager
• Assist in project management process
• Assist communications specialist with miscellaneous projects and administrative tasks
• Assist in execution of long-term strategic communications plans, including social media, web content, print, and digital media

Qualifications

• Candidates should be majoring in marketing, communication studies, journalism and mass communication, or a related area of study
• Resume is required
• Some computer experience
• Valid driver’s license is preferred
• One-year commitment required. You may start first or second semester, but you must be available to work the first full summer of employment. All subsequent summers are not required.
