To work part-time on a call-in basis and/or set dates as the night auditor and desk clerk of the Iowa House Hotel and to take responsibility for the operation from midnight to 8 am.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for balancing and auditing daily work from 2 shifts: to make all corrections, reconcile charges and compile audit reports.
• Compute housekeeper and room counts.
• Serve as the Iowa House clerk: including checking guests in and out, handling room keys, transferring telephone call to guests, taking supplies to guests and generally assisting guests of the Iowa House.
• Operate cash register at the Iowa House desk: make change and cash checks for the Iowa House guests.
• Check-in and out Iowa Memorial Union keys and money bags.
• Handle complaints of guests of the Iowa House such as noise, water problems, power shortages and malfunctioning elevators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prefer a junior or senior in Business/Finance.
• Financial and accounting experience preferred.
• Must be able to work nights.
